From Research to Practice: Body, Mind, Play
This conference will bring attention to the neurobiology of stress. It will focus on the developmental implications of the brain under chronic stress and present interventions and activities that promote healing, mitigate risk factors, and improve resiliency. State and national presenters will share their knowledge of healing that occurs when appropriate trauma informed services are available. Applied research and effective collaborative strategies will be highlighted. Healing the Generations offers caregivers, family members, and professionals from child and family service agencies, state and local community partners, faith communities, schools, universities, and colleges the opportunity to network and share trauma-related programming and resources.
Who should attend? Mental Health Clinicians, Administrators, Educators, Pediatricians, Faith Based Communities, Child Welfare Specialists, Case Managers, Advocates, and Families.
