Board Members

JEAN LARSON
President

Jean Larson graduated from Earlham College with a B.A. in fine arts, and has an M.B.A. in health care administration from the University of New Haven. She has been involved in reproductive health care and behavioral health services in New Haven for over 20 years. Currently, she is education and community outreach manager with the Yale School of Medicine's Human Investigation Committee.

LEE STOLZMAN
Treasurer and Secretary

Lee Stolzman has a Master's degree in accounting. She brings to the Board thirty years of experience managing a variety of fiscal functions for a number of state agencies including the State Treasury and the Department of Correction. She is also active in the local non-profit community, having been a past president of the New Haven YWCA, and is currently teaching English as a literacy volunteer.

SUSAN LANE

Susan Lane, BA, is the director of planning and grants for Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, Inc. (PPC). She manages PPC's portfolio of federal and state grants and provides support for the agency's annual and strategic planning process. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Riverside, and lives in New Haven.

ISMENE PETRAKIS, MD

Ismene Petrakis, MD is an associate professor of psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine, where she also directs the addiction of psychiatry residency. In addition, she directs the substance abuse treatment program at VA Connecticut Healthcare System, is the principal investigator for a National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) training grant and is involved in a National Institute of Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse (NIAAAA) training grant She has over 15 years of experience in the clinical treatment of and research into addictive disorders, and in educating residents, medical students, post-doctoral fellows and others about these disorders.

EILEEN WYGMANS

Eileen Wygmans graduated from Southern Connecticut State Univeresity with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics with an emphasis on health care management. She has been a human resource professional in organizations providing health care services form more than 25 years. Prior to retirement, she was Director of Human Resources Management at Middlesex Hospital.

NANCY SUCHMAN

Nancy Suchman, PhD is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and the Chld Study Center at the Yale University School of Medicine. For the past 15 years, she has received fudning from NIDA as a principal investigator to develop and evaluate parenting programs for mothers with substance use and psychiatric difficulties. She also trains and supervises clinicians at the APT Foundation and the connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) to deliver parenting interventations that are based on attachment theory.
